5. Galactic Tournament

Time: 10 weeks
Genre: 3D Space Shooter
Number of People: 5 programmers, 5 artists

Goal:

To make a fast paste space shooter with a good achievement system.

Making Of The Game:

We all worked on all areas of the code one of the coders always worked with the artists to give them the support they needed. All of the coders wrote their own 3d engine and then we settled with my engine because I had working shadow volumes in mine. There was a large emphasis on graphics in this project since this was our first 3d game.

My Responsibilities:

  • I was in charge of the 3d engine
  • AI steering behaviors and aiming
  • Collision Detection
